This page is a glossary of terms detailing the organizational structure and various other facts relating to KidZone Discovery Center.
We are glad to talk with you and give you a tour of our facility. Tours are scheduled in advance and given during the hours of 9:00-3:30. During this time we will inform you about everything you need to know, including the relevant paperwork. You can make an appointment over the phone at 205-277-1270 or by filling out our contact form. We always appreciate your visit! Once you are ready to enroll your child with us, please set up an appointment so we can best assist you.
KidZone Discovery Center has twelve classes specifically designed for newborns, walkers, toddlers, 2, 3, 4 year olds and Kindergarten. The center is open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
The following weekly fees apply to all the classes and are effective
July 1, 2020 through July 3, 2020.
APPLICATION FEE $75
|Infants, 6 weeks through 12 months||$155|
|Walkers, 13 months through 18 months||$155|
|Toddlers, 19 months until they begin the two year old class||$155|
Tuition rates are based on the child's age as of September 1st. Children are placed in the two, three, and four-year-old classes for the current school year based on their age as of September 1st.
KDC is a peanut free facility.
Due to peanut allergies please do not send items that have peanuts.
Children who arrive before 7:30 a.m. may bring a nutritious breakfast to eat in the classroom. We request that items to be brought for breakfast be finger foods or a complete breakfast ready to eat.
Morning and afternoon snacks and a nutritionally balanced hot lunch as well as drinks are provided and are included in your weekly tuition rate.
We welcome the opportunity to assist parents in celebrating their child's birthday during the afternoon snack time.
Policy for Inclimate Weather Closings
Generally, if Jefferson County Public Schools close or delay openings due to bad weather, KidZone Discovery Center will also close/delay. Please listen to the
local radio stations or television stations for school closing information (ABC 33/40 or Fox 6) or follow us on facebook or twitter.
